Women covering her face with a burka

Yes! The U.S. should withhold $7 billion of Afghan’s Money

The Taliban is oppressing their women. Their record on human rights is among the worse in the whole world. They ban women from working outside their home, ban girls’ education after year six, deny women their right to political participation as well as their social, economic and cultural rights.

Girls and boys are segregated after year five in Afghan schools, there is no co-education from year five onwards. Women must cover their faces in public.

The economic situation in Afghanistan is dire and the country faces a humanitarian disaster.

The United states is withholding about $7 billion of Afghan money in its central bank.

I don’t think the U.S. should release any of that money until the Taliban allow girls to go back to school and women to go back into the labor force. The Taliban don’t care about the Afghan population. All they care about is the suppression and control of women.
