167 Kassandra Dasent, From Debt To Financial Success

Kassandra is sharing a story of how her emotionally insecurity draw her into a lot of debt, she crawled her way out of debt, and today she is a financial success.

Also, please stick to the end because Kassandra is an amazing singer and I am sharing a short clip of her song “Road to Rebellion.” Now, let’s listen to the conversation.

Kassandra Dasent got into debt like everybody else, a few dollars at a time. The main reason? Insecurity and lack of self-confidence. She had been poor for so many years, that as soon as she got some income, she spent it all and some more.

Kassandra was born in Trinidad, but at the age of 6, her mother brought her to Montreal, where she grew up with very limited resources.

She started college, but as soon as she found a full-time job with a regular paycheck, the temptation was too big for her, so she dropped out of college to continue working full time.

Kassandra jumped from one job to the other, every time negotiating a higher salary. She was earning $45K a year, but she was spending more than that. Kassandra was dealing with her emotional insecurities through spending.

Eventually, the bank refused to increase her credit limit when Kassandra was already in debt $55K. Facing this reality, Kassandra decided to turn he financial life around, pay all her debt and look at her finances from a position of power.

It was time to get serious. Kassandra negotiated several job raises, she was doing commercial modeling, appearing in movies, singing, and she gave up her two-bedroom apartment to live with a roommate.

All her work payed off and within 3.5 years she was able to pay her debt and stay debt free. In addition, since then, she has been helping other people get out of debt.

Today, after years of self-improvement and the acquisition of many technical skills, Kassandra has a base salary of $130,000US, plus bonuses, and/or stock options.

In addition, Kassandra has a flourishing career as a singer.
