Karim Aktouf is the founder if Puncteo, a creativity consulting firm. He was trained as a software engineer, he spent 20 years in the corporate world, but at a given moment he felt he was suffocating.
After he was laid off from his job, he saw that as an opportunity to embark on a totally different career. He decided to enroll in Fine Arts classes.
Karim has the courage to pivot because his kids became an adult, so he felt he could take more risks. Also, he realized he could die any day, so there was no time to waste.
What hinders creativity? Fear
What’s the biggest fear people express? Fear of being vulnerable
Final point: Fall in love with learning for the sake of learning, with no other end in mind, love the process. Learn to learn.
