Thinking big makes you bigger, Arnold Schwarzenegger

That was Arnold Schwarzenegger in an interview when Arnold released his latest book, “Be Useful: Seven Tools for Life.”

Arnold Schwarzenegger won the Mr. Olympia title six years in a row, was the lead actor in many action and comedy films, served as the governor of California, and is a New York Times bestselling author.

Since the age of 14, Arnold has had the ability to think big, which propelled him further in life than anyone could have imagined.

When you set your sights on ambitious goals, you are more likely to achieve significant results and personal growth.

When you think big, you’re not constrained by limitations or preconceived notions of what is possible. Instead, you allow yourself to dream beyond the confines of your current circumstances and envision a future that surpasses your wildest expectations. This mindset encourages you to aim higher, push your boundaries, and strive for excellence in all aspects of your life.

Arnold came from a poor family and was physically abused as a child, but his ability to think big allowed him to escape his environment and become the youngest person ever to win the Mr. Universe title by age 20.

I once visited a high school where students were asked what they wanted to be when they grew up. Many of them had great dreams to become business people, artists, athletes, etc, but a few of them said  they wanted to be union workers because that represented a good steady salary. I was struck by the inability of certain kids to think bigger than having a union paycheck.

It takes the same amount of effort to think big as it does to think small, so why not strive to be all you can be?

As for myself, I once had a murky life, I was involved with drugs and alcohol. Then I started thinking bigger; I began to see myself in a different light. I left my life in my home country Colombia, came to Canada, obtained a university degree, and have since started a few businesses. I continue to think big and I achieve bigger goals every year. Just recently, I became financially independent, and now, at age 56, it’s time for me to pursue even bigger dreams.

If you want to start thinking big, I suggest you spend  time with people who also think big. Thinking big is contagious. Additionally, I suggest feeding your brain with positive information. Read books, listen to podcasts, and watch YouTube videos that encourage you to think big.

Now, my question for you is this: Are you thinking about achieving bigger goals this year? Write “yes” or “no” in the comments below.
