New Year resolution

You don’t have to wait for the new year to start a new resolution

January 2nd is the day that most resolutions start. Going to the gym, eating healthy, quitting smoking or drinking, etc.

But why set an arbitrary date like the new year? Why not start right now? This afternoon?

Unfortunately, most resolutions are not kept. Most resolutions don’t depend on a date but on the environment surrounding that resolution. For example, to eat healthily, you have to get rid of all the unhealthy food in your refrigeration. If you don’t have unhealthy food in your refrigerator, you will not eat it.

This summer I started a resolution to lose weight. The trigger point for me was not a particular date but rather a photo of myself where I looked obese. I started my diet the next day, and the way I kept it up was by never buying foods that I consider unhealthy.

I also started a regular 20-minute exercise routine. If I missed one day, I wouldn’t sweat it, I would catch up the next day. Also, from time to time I would break my diet when eating out with friends, but then the next day I would catch up

Many people are realizing that they don’t have to wait until January 1st to make a change. There is no moment like the present. Start the new you today.

One of my goals for 2022 is to lose my fear of talking to the camera and do more videos like this one, where I share a positive message and try to motivate people around me to be better versions of themselves. So, I am not waiting for next year, I am starting right now.

What’s your goal for 2022?
