How To Promote Affiliate Links

You have decided to explore affiliate marketing, and now you are exploring the best places to promote them. The great thing about affiliate marketing links is that there are products and services for every type of content creator: software and tools, products and courses, a payday loan affiliate program, and even hosting and newsletter options. You name it, and there is an affiliate program for it.

So, where are the best places for you to promote your affiliate links?

Blog Posts

Blog posts are the prime location for affiliate links – but you need to make sure that you are offering value in the post. After all, you are writing blog posts in a heavily saturated market. Everyone blogs now, so make sure you have something to say and say it well. Mix up the type of blog content and include alternative articles, round-ups, reviews, information, and more.

All Communications

Even if you only have a couple of subscribers – create newsletters for them, and always add links for your affiliate programs. Many people click clink included in emails and newsletters for brands and people that they want to hear more from. Be clear in the email that they are affiliate links, though.

Video Descriptions

If you are recording videos for Instagram or YouTube, make the most of the caption and description space. Add your affiliate links in there – but make sure that they are surrounded with written content for more context.

Podcast

For those who don’t yet have a podcast, you probably know someone who does – and if you do, ask permission to direct people to your website. Give the address to the podcast owner to put into their description, giving you both traffic to your website and the potential to have people clicking your affiliate links.

And if you do have a podcast, make sure that in every description and during the show, you mention either products or services that people can get. Always be upfront when it is an advertisement, though.

Paid Adverts

Sometimes, you have to spend money to make money, and this is a great time to take a look at some of the many paid advertising options you have. One of the best options, which is also very user-friendly, is Google Ads. Remember that you don’t want to blow a huge budget unless you have high-value, high-volume links. Make sure that your ads are relevant and that your affiliate links are high up on all content that you promote.

Social Media

Automate your social media, and have your affiliate links go out regularly across all platforms – including those you don’t typically interact much on. You never know who will see them, but because social media moves quickly, you aren’t at risk of spam unless you go too heavy on it.

Affiliate marketing is one of the ways to make money online, but it will need some attention and marketing to get it off the ground. Perhaps one of the best tips is to build a community, and to do that you need to know who you are talking to: Do You Really Know Your Business Audience? | Alain Guillot
