A plant based diet is good for your health, for the plane, kind towards animals, and it taste good

Eat healthy, save the planet, and show compassion towards animals

The whole industrialized world is suffering from an obesity problem. Our unhealthy diets are slowly killing us, killing the planet, and we are creating unnecessary suffering towards millions of innocents animals.

Many of us seem to care about the environment. Many of us recycle glass, plastic, and paper and compost organic waste. Many of us are making a transition from big polluting automobiles and are adopting less polluting means of transportation such as busses, metros, walking, and bicycles.

But then we go on damaging the planet, our health, and creating despicable suffering to cows, pigs, and chickens.

It does happen in less rich countries as well. In my country, Colombia, a sign of wealth is to eat gargantuan amount of meat. When I was a little kid, my parents were proud of how much meat I could eat and they would brag about how much weight I was gaining. Now, I feel embarrassed about my parents actions and let me add that I was an obese kid, which was not good for my health nor self esteem.

We simply cannot eat the amount of meat we are eating without killing ourselves, destroying the planet, and without continuously assassinating millions of animals.

Is astonishing the amount of people who go out to protests to save the environment or who protest against the lack of action in regards to climate change, and then go home and eat a piece of steak.

I suggest adopting a plant based diet. Beans, legumes, fruits, and nuts are like magic for your digestion system. I suggest the total elimination of animal products in our diets. No more steaks, proc chops, fired chicken, eggs, milk, or cheese. We don’t need them. There is a great diversity in a plant based diet with amazing flavors, and you will not be participating in the torture and assassination of millions of animals.

My personal diet consists of chickpeas, lentils, assortment of beans, lots of legumes, and fruits.

There is much to gain by switching to a plant-based diet: your health, the planet, and the lives of millions of innocent animals.
