Canada opens its doors to vaccinated Americans

For the first time, since March 2020, U.S. citizens can visit our beautiful country.

Tomorrow, Monday, August 9, people living and traveling from the U.S. can come to Canada if they have taken two vaccines.

Yes, we don’t want unvaccinated people. This out we protect our democracy, by protecting our citizens.

Canadian businesses near the border have spent weeks preparing for this moment. But the expected uptick in travel comes as businesses across North America face staffing shortages and supply chain issues.

That could mean travelers to Canada will have a harder time getting certain reservations or face longer wait times.

The U.S. has not reciprocated Canada’s gesture. Land travelers will have to wait until August 21. However, Canadians are being allowed to travel to the U.S. by airplane.

Canada opened to fully vaccinated Americans on Monday, increasing pressure on the Biden administration to respond in kind to its northern neighbor.

I believe that the way to restrict the virus is by restricting the movement of those who can carry the virus. I am sick of my liberties being restricted due to the unvaccinated.
