What happens when a society abandons truth in favor of apocalyptic propaganda?
We saw the devastating answer yesterday in South Minneapolis.
Renee Nicole Macklin Good, a 37-year-old mother of three, was killed during a confrontation with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers. According to reports, she attempted to use her vehicle to impede or strike officers, leading to a fatal return of fire.
The Power of a False Narrative
ICE officers have a job to do. It is a job rooted in the rule of law—the same law that maintains the stability of our neighborhoods and our economy.
Renee Good was a mother. By all accounts of traditional logic, she should have been at home, focused on the immense responsibility of raising her three children. Instead, she was on a snowy street in Minneapolis, acting as a vigilante.
Why?
Because for over a year, she—like millions of others—was fed a steady diet of radical ideology. She was likely convinced that ICE agents were the foot soldiers of a “Nazi regime” and that they were rounding up people for “concentration camps.”
When the TV, TikTok, your governor, and your congresswoman repeat the same terrifying lie endlessly, fiction begins to feel like fact. If you genuinely believe an emergency is unfolding, your brain shifts into a state of moral hysteria. You start to believe that lawlessness is a moral duty and that impeding federal operations is “noble.”
Ideology vs. Reality
The tragedy here is twofold. It is the loss of a human life, and it is the realization that her sacrifice was for a lie.
- She helped no one. No one was “saved” by her actions.
- No “concentration camp” was shut down.
- No criminal was redeemed.
Instead, three children are now without a mother. A family is grieving a loss that was entirely preventable. No amount of social media “heroism” can replace a parent at the dinner table.
A Warning Ignored
I have warned many times about the dangers of abandoning objective truth. When the left replaces rational discourse with apocalyptic propaganda, they radicalize ordinary people. They convince them that violence is a valid response to political disagreement.
The most frustrating part of this tragedy is that those who fueled the fire—the pundits, the influencers, and the politicians—will not take responsibility. They won’t soften their language. In fact, they will likely double down, using this very tragedy to radicalize the next person.
Reality is indifferent to our ideologies. You can believe you are “standing up to evil,” but that belief doesn’t protect you from the physical consequences of your actions.
We must return to a society where we value the truth over the narrative, and where we prioritize our families and our communities over the reckless rhetoric of the political class. If we don’t, Renee Good will unfortunately not be the last victim of this manufactured hysteria.

You’ve abandoned objective truth and you’re the one who has become radicalized by MAGA’s lies. Renee wasn’t all you’re saying about her, that’s defamation.
The former brother-in-law of Renee Nicole Good, says she should have “minded her own business.”
Former brother-in-law Joseph Macklin told The Daily Mail that Good had 3 children.
“She had no reason to be there, in my opinion,” he said.
“It had nothing to do with her. She shouldn’t have been in the way. She had nothing to do with the ICE agents or immigration, so she shouldn’t have been there.”
“She should have minded her own business.”
Joseph Macklin is the brother of Tim Macklin Jr., who passed away in 2023. Tim Macklin Jr. shared a now six-year-old son with Good.
