Finally, a ceasefire in Gaza has been announced — and President Trump made it happen.
There are many winners in this story:
- The Palestinian people can finally begin living normal lives.
- Israel will get its hostages back.
- Hamas soldiers will receive amnesty.
- The Arab countries in the region will enjoy long-overdue peace.
However, there’s one big loser in this peace agreement: the pro-Palestinian protesters.
For months, they have been disrupting daily life, demanding an end to “genocide.” Yet now that a peace agreement has been reached, not one of them is out in the streets celebrating the end of this so-called genocide.
You know why? Because there was never a genocide.
This was a war — a war started by Hamas, who used innocent Palestinians as human shields to draw attention to their cause. Dead babies were used for clicks, likes, and views. Living babies were of no use to them.
The pro-Palestinian protesters’ worst nightmare is that the war actually ends. If peace comes, they lose their main excuse to create chaos in the streets and to vent their personal frustrations — like their inability to maintain normal relationships or hold regular jobs.
The ones who lose the most when the war ends are not Hamas. They are the protesters who have used this conflict as a shield for their own grievances and anger at society. What will they do once their number-one excuse for vandalizing businesses and creating chaos disappears?
In the U.S., they’ll probably pivot to another cause and start protesting against ICE. But what about the rest of the world?
And how will they keep hating Trump if he actually succeeds in ending the war? What will their cause be then? Peace destroys their raison d’être — their very reason for being.
What do you think?
Do you believe the pro-Palestinian movement will fade if peace holds, or will they simply find a new cause to rally around? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
