Congratulations to the Venezuelan People on Liberation from Maduro's Tyranny

A Historic Dawn: Congratulations to the Venezuelan People on Liberation from Maduro’s Tyranny

As we step into 2026, the world has witnessed a monumental shift in Latin America. On January 3, 2026, the Venezuelan people have finally been freed from the oppressive regime of Nicolás Maduro, thanks to a bold and meticulously planned operation by the United States under President Donald Trump. This is not just a victory for Venezuela but a beacon of hope for freedom-loving people everywhere. Congratulations, Venezuela—you’ve endured so much, and now a brighter future awaits.

President Trump had been orchestrating this move for months, demonstrating strategic foresight in addressing one of the hemisphere’s most entrenched dictatorships. The U.S. Army’s Delta Force played a pivotal role, constructing an exact replica of Maduro’s safe house to rehearse the raid repeatedly, ensuring precision and minimal risk. Complementing this was invaluable intelligence from a CIA asset embedded in Maduro’s inner circle, who tracked his movements and provided the critical information needed to execute the capture successfully.

This moment is truly historic. Ever since the election of Hugo Chávez in 1999, Venezuelans have suffered under a regime that promised prosperity but delivered poverty, repression, and exile for millions. Maduro, who succeeded Chávez, was never a legitimate leader—he stole elections and committed atrocities against his own people, from brutal crackdowns on protests to widespread human rights abuses. By holding this monster accountable, President Trump has done a tremendous favor not only to the Venezuelan people but to humanity as a whole. The removal of Maduro opens the door to rebuilding a nation rich in resources and potential, free from the chains of socialism.

The ripple effects extend beyond Venezuela’s borders, particularly to Cuba. For years, the Cuban regime has relied on political support from Venezuela and subsidized oil imports that propped up its failing economy. Without this lifeline, I doubt the Cuban government can hold on much longer. My guess? The Cuban regime won’t survive 2026. This could spark a wave of democratic reforms across the region, dismantling the last vestiges of outdated authoritarianism.

What a phenomenal way to kick off the new year! The liberation of millions of Venezuelans from fear and scarcity is cause for global celebration. It’s a reminder that decisive action can triumph over tyranny.

It’s worth noting Maduro’s desperate attempts to silence dissent, including his efforts to suppress Elon Musk and the platform X (formerly Twitter) for allowing the truth to spread. In 2024, he banned X for 10 days amid a feud with Musk, who had called out Maduro’s electoral fraud. Such censorship only highlighted the regime’s fragility.

In the aftermath, allies of freedom are stepping up. Argentina’s President Javier Milei has expressed strong support, cheering the capture and signaling readiness to assist in any way possible to help Venezuela transition to stability and prosperity. Milei’s enthusiasm underscores a growing coalition of leaders committed to liberty in Latin America.

Venezuela, you’ve shown incredible resilience. As you rebuild, the world stands with you. Here’s to a prosperous, free 2026 and beyond!
