I am adding a new side hustle to my repertoire of side hustles: A Photobooth Service in Montreal. It will be a reliable option to consider, a photographer to photograph the party, and a photobooth service to take playful photos. If a client hires for the two services, they will get some package deal.
After years of working as a photographer, I decided to add a complementary service to my repertoire of services: a photobooth service.
The idea came to me after attending many events where photobooths were present and I saw how much fun people were having. I realized that I could provide a similar service at a more affordable price.
It took about six months since the idea was planted in my head until now, the day I am launching the photobooth service in Montreal.
At this moment it’s a low budget operation designed for me to test the market and learn the ropes of the business.
I work with several different backdrops, a DSLR camera, and two professional lights. For the moment I don’t have a touchscreen computer to connect to my camera, so it will be either me, or my assistant Cheryl Williams who will be taking the photos and sending them via email to the guests of an event being photographed.
The price of the service will be $200 for two hours. Compared with my competitors who charge $500 for two hours, this will be a bargain for my future clients.
But even with a low-budget setup, this new photobooth service in Montreal will be a fun and exciting experience for all attendees at any event. With the ability to customize backgrounds and props, guests will have a blast taking photos and creating lasting memories.
As the business grows and expands, I am planning to offer a high-end service with more advanced equipment and features. But for now, I am focusing on providing a fun and affordable experience for my clients while testing the market.
