156 Marek Zmyslowski Wanted by the Interpol

Wanted by the Interpol for a crime he didn’t commit, Marek Zmyslowski, was framed by his business partner in Nigeria.

Marek Zmysłowski is an entrepreneur and executive, focused on Online Business and Renewable Energy, passionate about Frontier and Emerging Markets

Marek Zmyslowski was born in a little town in Poland, from a poor family who did its best to survive the transition from communism to capitalism.

While going to college, Marek discovers that he had a superpower, the power of closing a sale. He got a job as a door to door insurance salesman. He discovered that he had a talent prospecting and making his clients sign the dotted line.

He rapidly climbed the ladder of success with several hundred salespeople under his leadership to help him earn his first million dollars. Eventually, Marek Zmyslowski had a mental and physical burn out and loses it all and even goes into debt.

This is the beginning of many business successes and failures.

Chasing Black Unicorns by Marek Zmysłowski

Marek is a business disrupter and that created some enemies along the way. When he created the first online funeral service in Poland, he had to face criminal gangs who were not happy with lower prices and increased efficiencies.

While in Nigeria, when was creating an internet business, his business partner double-crossed him by bribing the corrupted police and government officials and fabricating false charges against him. From one moment to the other Marek became a fugitive wanted by Interpol.

While living these adventures, Marek co-founded Jumia Travel – Africa’s Biggest Hotel Booking Portal listed on NYSE as part of Jumia Group and HotelOnline.co – a Travel Technology Company.

Because Marek was not busy enough, with his free time, he decided to write the book Chasing Black Unicorns, an autobiography from the time when Merek was too shy to talk to girls to now when he travels the world seeking business opportunities.

When Marek is not closing business deals around the world, he likes to talk to motivate other entrepreneurs get started in their entrepreneurship journey.
